Humphrey Automated Perimetry

Humphrey Automated Perimetry & Octopus technology is critical for diagnosing and treating glaucoma. Many imitations exist, but the overwhelming majority of experts concur that this test is critical by which all other visual field analyzers are judged. This test is also helpful in diagnosing damage from strokes, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological conditions.

Humphrey Welch Allen FDT Visual Field Screener

This instrument is a quicker version of the Humphrey Automated Perimeter. It allows for screening for disease in healthy patients in a short amount of time. It targets specific retinal cells and may detect damage earlier in the disease process.

Corneal Topography

Corneal topography creates three-dimensional maps of the cornea, the transparent membrane covering the iris and pupil. This test often reduces the time needed for contact lens fitting. It is a useful tool for diagnosing astigmatism and a corneal condition called keratoconus. LASIK patients need this test to determine if they are good candidates for the procedure.

Pachymetry

Pachymetry is a painless ultrasound measurement of the thickness of the cornea. It has improved the ability to accurately diagnose glaucoma. Pachymetry is also used to evaluate swelling of the cornea. It is another required test for patients considering LASIK.
